newton's second law of motion In three previous articles, I described how I treated all kinematics problems in terms of the same three basic equations. I also claimed that this approach encouraged students to approach all physics problem solutions in terms of fundamental principles. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how I continue emphasizing the basic-principle approach when I cover Newton's laws. Future articles will demonstrate how I approach other topics like mechanical energy conservation, rotational dynamics, and static equilibrium.
